Sisya Records

"Sisya" is a word that means "ant" in the Aymara language, an indigenous language spoken mainly in the Andean region of Latin America. Sisya is a record label founded by Gugol Maps and Maria Mestiza, Colombian DJs and producers, one of whom is based in Berlin. They seek to make music from the global south a collaborative effort, so that all emerging producers can find their place through a community that makes itself felt as a group, in the same way ants, as a group, clearly establish their place.
